  1. Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a senior research fellow working at the Institute of Leadership, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). I am an immunologist, psychotherapist and meditation teacher interested in developing interventions to limit burnout and promote resilience among healthcare professionals (my research can be found on research gate – researchgate.net/profile/Padraic_Dunne). At the moment, I am developing a professional diploma in contemplative practices for resilience and mental health at RCSI. There will be a strong emphasis on the use of technology to augment standard contemplative practices in my course, such as the wrist wearable provided by your company (Vinaya). At present, I am investigating different technologies to use both in our research and in our teaching programs. We have previously worked with Fitbit for example in a recent randomized controlled trial (see clinicalTrials.gov). I am contacting you to see if you might consider sending me one for your standard units to trial with students, with the intent to employ in a teaching or future research context.

I look forward to your reply.
