Fall is starting in California

Fall the season we were all waiting for.  I can easily say that I was desperately waiting for it! Why? Well, easy to answer…I must confess that even though my life is in SoCal. I’m not and I  don’t think I’ll ever be a California Girl. Don’t get me wrong, California  is beautiful and it’s not a bad place to live AT ALL!

The thing is I lived most of my life in the center of Mexico, where we have either to much hot or too much cold and rain of course. Being able to wear appropriate clothes for each season is crucial for me. You know, boots when Fall and sandals when Spring and Summer. Not sandals all year round! (as in Southern California)  —That one goes from all the guys out there  🙊 Those who never take off those sandals 😂, Yuck !  —

My Fall Style

I say that I’m not a Cali Girl because, every time I go shopping (which now a days is not so often) I go straight to every garment that is not quite “appropriate” for Southern California life 🤷🏻‍♀️. Somehow, I forget that I live in a holiday destination. Warm weather, sea, sand, sunny every day and  humidity. –Thankfully this is not year round)

Maybe you’ve noticed it but my style is more about, heavy fabrics, layer over layer. I love to wear fitted pants and jackets. Like this trousers and this jacket. Once in a while I wear dresses but not the tight short type of dress —not that there’s something wrong with that— I don’t show much skin and definitely, I don’t use much makeup. Go ahead and google… “California girl style”….

See, that’s not me at all!! That style is more relax and calm.

Losing my Personal Style

When I first moved to California, I was kind of confused.  I kept true to my style, but somehow I felt out of place. Just by going to the coffee shop, people looking at me like “Why is she wearing that?!” not that I worry about what people think about me. But Ey!! I’m not blind either, I can see other people faces.

But somehow it affected me,  and I started to camouflage myself —By that I mean, I stopped being myself.— And I stopped working on my blog and stopped taking pictures of my daily look. Those little things that were a hobby for me. I didn’t like it at all. Anyways, my point is: There’s no better thing than being yourself and loving who you are. Like one of my favorite quotes ever.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde

My Stylosophy Look

About My Stylosophy look. I must confess I fell in love with those navy culottes the moment I saw them, I was in Florence and I had to buy them. Pairing up with a pair of over the knee boots and a Lila top that goes perfectly with the tone of the pants. To give a pop of color, I added the clutch a design I made a couple of years ago.

So, what you think.

Yes or No?
