That was a Hella crazy week! We came back from our Holliday vacation ….

to Mexico with my family. We were moving but after coming back to reality, we decided to take a little break before going back.

We left Silicon Valley at 2:30 and started our trip to Tahoe.

It had been a rainy week, we knew the weather was going to be different but not that much. As soon as we started going up in the mountain, snow began to fall. We put the chains as soon as we could.

That was a cardiac trip, cars spinning down the hill, cars crashing, slippery roads, snow and rain all the way to our destination. We finally arrived to our hotel, the next “Surprise” was when the Lady in the Lobby told us “We have no rooms available” —What was she talking about?  She’s got to be kidding!!! We had our reservation since November.—

Later she told me that all the house keeping employees quit the day before.

I was so desperate just seeing how tired Ricardo was. I begged for a room. We finally got our room, we changed the sheets ourselves, and cleand the dishes the people before us left.

What a shame, this hotel is so well known that it will surprise you if I tell you the name (which I’m not going to do).

Anyway, we spent 4 days in Tahoe, amazing views, great time snowboarding with my Hubbs, 3 snow days in a row. We decided to leave the mountain because the forecast wasn’t the best, so we drove to Nevada. We left the day the sun decided to shine.

I can’t and I won’t complain. We started the year just the way we like it. Doing something different.
