It’s the industry that has created an index called “Higg” which measures the environmental and labor impact across the supply chain.

This index is being used by brands, retailers, manufactures all around the world. Specifically in places where clothing, shoes are created. Turkey, China, Vietnam, South America like Peru, USA and quite a few in Mexico. 

LA Fashion Forum

Last year at this sustainable fashion forum which I attended. I met Scott Miller who is the Director of Business Development. I talked to him about how important the HIGG index was for me and how surprised I was that in Mexico very little of the industry was aware of this. 

Since I have been in this industry for a long time and have been a first-hand viewer of how the industry has evolved. I made a commitment to myself to help implement and communicate to the people I know about this or the audience I can reach by this means.
